This is a ZANUPF affair. I am not a member of ZANUPF, so I cannot get involved in ZANUPF matters. I will welcome Emmerson Mnangagwa’s removal if it happens because, as you know, I am now living in forced political exile because of the Zimbabwean tyrant. However, I will not participate in ZANUPF battles. The last time the opposition asked us to support a coup, you know what happened. I was jailed three times by the coup government and Mnangagwa for exposing corruption. I never heard any of these people speaking out against it. People like Job Sikhala and Jacob Ngarivhume were repeatedly jailed, and I never heard them speak out against that either. So I will stay out of this one and respect the war veterans’ right to exercise their freedom of speech. I will never get involved in anything that will not bring real change to Zimbabwe. Everyone in ZANUPF leadership has been involved in corruption. The opposition was used to remove Robert Mugabe, and those who worked with it destroyed any semblance of opposition. So, for me, this is something to watch rather than be drawn into. If they succeed in removing Mnangagwa, that would be good because perhaps it would mean I could finally go back home to be with my family and my goats at the village. Even if they succeed, I will not get involved unless they offer a free and fair election instead of simply giving the opposition a place at the feeding trough. That is not the change I want. So yes my brother, this to me is a sideshow brought to us by two factions in ZANUPF who both need alternative voices to launder their tainted political track record. I won’t criticise those who want to be used by either side, that is their right to do so. Ultimately, ZANUPF under Mnangagwa or ZANUPF under Chiwenga is still ZANUPF!
